Missions 1923 - 2023
Acts 1:8 But you shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and
you shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and all of Judea, and in Samaria,
and to the uttermost part of the world.
YEARS: 1923-1949
The only thing found recorded in the archives was a mention of the Easter and
Christmas offerings being sent to the Children’s Home of Florida.
YEARS 1950-1959
The fifties saw an increase in the budget going from $500 a year to $1000 a year. There
were 9 ministries supported that decade. Two of the ministries were The Latin American
Mission and the American Leprosy Mission
YEARS 1960-1969
The sixties saw another increase in giving with $1400 in the budget in 1964.

During this decade there were usually 15 ministries supported each year.
YEARS 1970-1979
The seventies began the great awakening for missions and Community Church. What
started as $1080 per year in 1970 increased to $7,022 per year in1979. 16 different
ministries were supported in the 70’s.

YEARS 1980-1989
The eighties were a prelude for signs to come. In 1987 the missions budget was the
biggest year with $42,370. The decade saw fourteen different ministries being
supported.
In 1984, five young men in the congregation went to Africa on a month long missions
trip.

YEARS 1990-1999
The nineties saw the missions budget increase from $18,000 to $27,000. per year. There
were eight to sixteen ministries being supported.
YEARS 2000-2009
The new century was brought in with Community Church continuing to increase the
missions budget from $27,000 to $34,000 per year.
Twenty four ministries were supported in this decade. This decade was filled with mission trips by members of the congregation.
In 2001 a fifteen member team went to Guyana for two weeks of building churches and
set up health clinics.
In 2002 an eleven member team went to Haiti to complete
construction of a church and minister at the orphanage we support.
In 2003 a team of seven member team went back to Guyana to build another church and participate in a
pastors seminar. A team of three also went to Haiti to get a generator working at the orphanage.
In 2003 and 2004 a family of five went to celebrate Christmas in Haiti.
In 2007 and 2008 a four member team and eight member team went to Haiti to celebrate
Christmas in Haiti.
2012 and 2015 saw a one person team go to Uganda.
The years from 2001 to 2015 saw the need for mission trips.

YEARS 2110-2119
This decade which saw the pandemic and any other catastrophic problems sent to
hinder Gods work, the missions budget has again increased from $32,000 to $47,000
per year with twenty five ministries being supported.
YEARS 2020-2023
The new decade is seeing bigger and greater things for the Kingdom of God and
Community Church. The missions budget for the first four years has increased from
$47,500 to $63,000. Our budget is distributed locally, nationally and internationally.
(Jerusalem, Judea, Samaria and to the uttermost parts of the world.
